About the Artist - Karen Fleschler

A native of the California Bay Area, Karen Fleschler, graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Social Science, and also earned a teaching credential. After a long hiatus from high school art classes, she resumed drawing and painting classes at local community colleges and studied under local artists. She started entering shows and festivals in 2003 to promote and sell her artwork, and along the way, has won many awards including a first place at the Amador County Fair for "Wine Barrels"; second and third place awards, and numerous merit and honorable mentions. My professional affiliations are:    Pleasanton Art League    Livermore Art Association    Alamo - Danville Art Society    Frank Bette Center for the Arts    Amador County Art Association Solo Exhibitions    2007 Wente Winery, Livermore, CA    2004 Garre Winery, Livermore, CA    2003,4 Pleasanton Grocery Company, Pleasanton, CA (sole artist in a place of business) Group Exhibitions I participate, on an annual basis, in group exhibitions that are connected with my professional affiliations. I have also been juried into art shows in Los Gatos, Danville, Pleasanton, Livermore, Alameda, and Sutter Creek.
